US 441 Temp: Appeared in December 1962 (AASHO) as a temporary routing of US 441 through Athens GA after US 441 was removed from downtown Athens. It followed US 129 from where US 441 used to split at Lumpkin St, then east on the newly opened piece of the Athens Loop back to US 441.
In October 1979 (AASHTO), US 441 Temp was removed when the Athens Loop was completed around the east of Athens and was signed as US 441. US 441 Temp became GA 15 on surface streets (now just Milledgeville Ave and Prince Ave) and US 29-129 on the Athens Loop.
