If TN 77-104 used Huntington St, (no longer connects to) Christmasville Rd and Cades Loop east out of Trenton it stopped doing so by 1938.
In 1939 or 1940, TN 104 was extended east with TN 20 to Lexington, then southeast to TN 100.
Between 1939-47, TN 104 was removed from Hopewell Church Rd in Hopewell.
In 1949 or 1950, TN 104 was extended southeast to TN 69 outside Satillo.

In 1967, TN 104 was rebuilt in the Dyer-Gibson line area, leaving behind Tatumville Rd to Tatumville; Old Highway 104 south across new TN 104; abandoned routing to the Gibson line (Deer River); Old Tennessee 104 in Gibson County.
