WV 25 ALT #1: Appeared between 1938-46 as an upgrade to CR 35/5, running from WV 25 (now 16th St) Dunbar to US 35 near Lock Six.
Around 1966, WV 25 ALT was downgraded to CR 25/25 and a little CR 25/27. WV 25 ALT's western end is now covered by I-64.
