Adjustments: TN 100 originally used Old Harding Pike from US 70S Bellevue to Harpeth Valley and the several small Old Hardng Pike loops in southwest Davidson County. By 1930 TN 100 was on its current alignment from US 70S to Centerville. It is not clear what former routing TN 100 might have briefly used in Williamson and Hickman Counties, perhaps Old Harding Rd to Fernvale. After that there are numerous possibilities.
In 1931 or 1932, TN 100 west was extended to Linden, then with TN 20 (now US 412) to Parsons, then south with TN 69 to Decaturville, then southwest as new routing to end at US 45 (now TN 365) Henderson. TN 100 functionally replaced TN 22 from Jacks Creek to Henderson, though TN 22 used the lengthy Old Jacks Creek Rd.

In 1934, AASHO tried to have US 143 assigned to TN 100 from Centerville to Nashville.
In 1939 or 1940, TN 100 was extended west as new routing to TN 18 (now Eighteen Loop) near Toone.
In 1957, Tennessee tried to get US 70 ALT assigned to TN 100 between Linden and Belle Meade.
Between 1957-60, TN 100 was extended west as new routing (per route logs) to US 64 on the west side of Whiteville. Note that the National Bridge Database has the bridges along this newly constructed route as dated 1961-64.
In 1983, TN 100 was given its routing between US 412 Perryville and TN 69 Decaturville, leaving behind these two routes (TN 69 is now Pleasant St in Decaturville).

Posting: Posted as secondary from Decatursville to Perryville; primary posting elsewhere
TN 100 is not posted on its overlays with US 64 or US 641 but is posted on its TN 48 overlay.
Secret US Route Overlay: US 64 (1.5 mi)
Comment: A major corridor from the Nashville area southwest that can be an alternative route with US 64 to reach Memphis.
The Whitesville routing seems odd to me, though since neither TN 15 nor TN 100 is posted I guess it doesn't matter.
TN 100 is how one accesses the north end of the Natchez Trace Parkway.
