Unknown Designtions  never happened

Mystery Route #1: In May 1959, 5 states got together to propose the FLAGAVALINA Highway to run from Panama City FL to Richmond VA.
The Virginia portion would have used all of VA 49 and continued with US 360 to Richmond.
AASHO rejected this idea in Oct 1959.
A lot of possibilities would have existed for a number, including US 37 and US 229.
Mystery Route #2: In May 1960, Kentucky requested that the entirety of KY 80 be placed in the US Route System to the Virginia State Line.
AASHO denied this in June 1960, but had this been approved, there is little doubt Virginia would have extended this mystery US route either along VA 80 down to US 19 or across SR 609 or VA 83 east to US 460 in the Grundy area. This decision would've been relevant today, as US 460 is being rerouted along this corridor and the mystery route might have needed to be truncated to the new US 460 in Kentucky.
No number was floated in the application. Plausible numbers here could have been: an extension of US 160; US 560; US 168
