Southern Terminus

VA 349 is a short 2-block connector following city streets in Halifax.  In effect, all it does is follow around the back two sides of the Halifax County Courthouse, while VA 360 (cross-street shown here) and US 501 form the other two sides of the courthouse block.  Photo by Andrew Snyder, taken March 11, 2004.

On the opposite side of the courthouse block, at US 501, is the north terminus.  The two reassurance shields shown in these photos are the only two VA 349 shields that exist.  Photo by Andrew Snyder, taken March 11, 2004.
