Former Eastern Terminus (West Segment)

From 1934-47, VA 61 had an eastern endpoint at the Bland/Tazewell Line. The first few years of that it was the absolute east end before the eastern segment from Narrows came to life. Here is the view of VA 61 east at the Bland County Line. Photo by Mapmikey, taken June 16, 2012.

Former Western Terminus (East Segment)

Eastern Terminus

	Along the westbound lanes of US 460, this is the eastern terminus of VA 61, and marks the only traffic signal along US 460 between Blacksburg, VA and I-77 near Princeton, WV. Former Eastern Termini

	From 1947-52, VA 61 crossed the New River on an older bridge. Here is the view looking west where VA 61 used to meet US 460. Prior to 1947 this would've been where VA 8 crossed the New River. Photo by Mapmikey, taken March 10, 2007.
