SC 403 ALT: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing (although this was likely US 76 and/or SC 3 at some point earlier), running from SC 403 Timmonsville along Main St east to US 76. This was shown but not labeled on the 1940-42 Officials.
In 1947, SC 406 ALT was downgraded to S-21-18.
