Creation: SC 363 appeared in 1940 as new primary routing, running from SC 5 (now US 321) Luray to SC 36 (now US 601) Hampton. This is the only SC 363.
Adjustments: In 1942, SC 363 was extended north with SC 36 then southeast with SC 28 (now US 278), then east as new primary routing to SC 63.
In 1947, SC 363 was downgraded to S-25-22 west of Hampton and S-25-40 east of Hampton.
In 1949, SC 363 was restored to run from Luray to Hampton on its current routing.
In 1950, SC 363 was restored to run from Hampton to SC 63.
