SC 280 ALT: Appeared by 1940 as a renumbering of SC 280, running from SC 281 (now US 21) at the Parris Island Access Rd northwest to SC 214-280 (now US 21/S-7-256 jct) north of Shell Point.
By 1943, SC 280 ALT was renumbered as SC 280 again. Today it is US 21 except SC 280 ALT used S-7-651/652 Marina Dr. Not sure what the point of this route was...
