2011 ROUTE LOG
SC 802: 0 - 0
SC 170: 3.2 - 3.2
US 21: 1.2 - 4.4
SC 280: Appeared about 1929 as new primary routing, running from SC 28 (now US 21) Burton south to the Parris Island Access Rd.
In 1940, SC 280 was truncated on both ends: north to end at SC 214 (now S-7-20), SC 280 had used S-7-20 east to US 21 which became part of SC 214 for some reason. Even stranger, the south end was truncated to SC 214 (now S-7-256 Shell Point Rd) while the road south to Parris Island Access became SC 280 ALT.
By 1943, SC 280 south was re-extended over SC 280 ALT to meet SC 281 at the Parris Island Access Rd.

In 1947, SC 280 north was re-extended replacing SC 214 from Burton east to US 21.
Between 1953-57, SC 280 was rerouted at Burton to head north to US 21 instead of east to US 21, leaving behind S-7-20.
In 1958, SC 280 south was truncated to SC 281 (now SC 128) at Shell Point, as SC 281 was extended over SC 280 plus new routing to SC 170 at the Broad River. SC 280 used S-7-651/652 Marina Dr.
Between 1959-63, SC 280 was removed from Old Jericho Rd in the SC 170 vicinity.
In 2012, SC 280 was replaced in its entirety by the rerouted US 21 Beaufort Bypass.
