 Creation: SC 203 appeared in 1940 as new primary routing, running from SC 7 (now S-1-133) Abbeville northeast to SC 185. This is the only SC 203.
Adjustments: By 1948, SC 203 was largely rebuilt onto much straighter alignments. Some of the old routing is intact - today's S-1-433 Wilewood Rd; S-1-432 Deer Hollow Rd; Sweetbriar Dr near the Bowie Branch crossing.
In 1951, SC 203 was extended over what had been SC 72 into downtown Abbeville to end at SC 20.
