From: near Florence (Florence County)
To: Florence (Florence County)
Total Length: 2.0 miles
ROUTE LOG
I-20 (exit 141), I-95 (exit 160): 0 - 0
US 76: 2.0 - 2.0
Creation: I-20 first appeared on the 1968 or 1969 Official Map as under construction. It opened in 1974 running as it does today.
Adjustments: None
Improvements: 4 lane expressway at inception.
Comment: I-20 Spur was not initially posted as a green interstate and I don't know when it was. In fact, the last time I was at the US 76 end before recently it was still normal interstate shields. Also, green 20 has been incorrectly posted as mainline I-20 from one direction on I-95 for many years.
I-20 Bus SPUR serves a mall and has a couple stop lights, but otherwise offers quick access to western Florence proper from I-20.
I-20 Bus is definitely posted at US 76 today, though SCDOT maps label the part between S-21-31 W. Evans St and US 76 as US 76 CONN.
