	This assembly is in Exmore. This font/appearance was what many district 5 signs looked like in the 70s.   Taken 4/26/07.

	This is the reassurance just after US 60 leaves Williamsburg Rd for Government Rd.   Taken 11/7/09.
	An old unisign assembly on SR 601 just west of the US 60-522 junction.   Taken 1/21/07.
	This is on 25th St in Richmond just north of Broad St. This sign is leftover from when US 60 used to use Broad St and if you were on VA 5 WB (25th St) you had to go past US 60 then turn left to curl back around to Broad St.   Taken 1/7/12.
	This ugly thing is off VA 154 in southern Covington.   Taken 1/11/10.

	This dilapidated US 60 west shield is on N 23rd St between Broad St and Marshall St. This is leftover from when US 60 was still on Broad St and this was how motorists were directed to follow US 60 west to get to 21st St.   Taken 4/21/15.
	This is the last VA 61 East shield as the road curls around from the New River Bridge to US 460 in Narrows.   Taken 10/8/10.
	Here is a vintage I-64 shield, on SR 880 (old US 60) near California. This shield probably dates back to the opening of I-64 through here.   Taken 12/8/07.
	Along US 360 WB where its one-way splits come to an end just past US 250 Broad St. Here US 360 west turns right (US 360 EB is to the left).   Taken 1/7/12.
	Along US 1-301 SB just after they join forces in Richmond, here is an older I-64 shield.   Taken 4/9/10.
	Along the unposted VA 154 in Covington and is at the same intersection as the white US 220 shield.   Taken 1/11/10.
	This peeling 64-95 unisign is on 14th St NB approaching Broad St.   Taken 12/5/14.
	This is 5th St NB at the ramp to I-64 WB.   Taken 12/5/14.
	This is US 60 west on 8th St at Canal St.   Taken 10/21/15.
	This is VA 197 west leaving VA 161. This assembly was replaced between July 2015 and July 2016.   Taken 11/21/14.
	This is I-66 WB just before the US 17 Bus/VA 55 exit in Marshall.   Taken 7/10/15.
	This is on US 11 northbound near VA 365 in Wytheville. These haven't changed much since Michael Summa photographed these 15 years earlier.   Taken 3/10/07.

	This is in downtown Petersburg. A very rare I-85 shield with "Virginia" on it.   Taken 4/24/07.

	A really well-preserved example of the 60s style white border shield. This is on an old "neighborhood clover" as part of the junction with VA 120. This may be the last classic white border sign in Northern Virginia.   Taken 8/30/07.
	There are still a few non-reflective shields in Charlottesville.   Taken 3/1/08.
	Note the 'Bypass' banner which is pretty uncommon in Virginia.   Taken 3/1/08.

	This is High St approaching US 58 London Blvd in Portsmouth which had several fading I-264 shields. This assembly was removed by April 2016.   Taken 3/22/14.

	This is I-81 NB approaching VA 277 Stephens City. Pretty sure this one has been replaced.   Taken 7/10/15.

	This is Commerce Dr (old VA 416) south at US 360 Hull St.   Taken 10/21/15.
	This is looking from County Dr at US 460 Business just north of VA 114. Not sure how this has survived the sign changes through here...   Taken 5/2/14.

	This is one of my favorite finds. This is SR 601 in Gloucester County a little east of US 17. This may be the last white border SR sign in Eastern Virginia and may be leftover from when this was still part of VA 198.   Taken 2/19/06.

	This is on I-81 NB near Salem. This may be the last exit sign with the phrase "Exit 1 mile" on a 2di. Another on I-95 at VA 234 was replaced in 2008.   Taken 8/30/08.
	This SR 651 marker is on SR 805 (old VA 95) in the Providence area.   Taken 1/21/09.
	SR 601 at SR 701 Bumpass in Louisa County.   Taken 4/19/16.
	These are in Peatross (Caroline COunty).   Taken 1/7/12.
	These were very close to the picture above. This part of Caroline County seemed to have a few non-reflective jobs still standing.   Taken 1/7/12.
	This older style BGS is on US 29-250 Bypass westbound in Charlottesville. Removed for a construction project by Oct 2015.   Taken 6/25/15.

	This assembly is at the VA 314 segment west of US 460 Bypass Blacksburg.   Taken 2/9/07.
	This is on SR 787 (old VA 102) at SR 693 near Radford.   Taken 12/5/08.
	This is SR 693 at SR 613 near Graysontown.   Taken 12/5/08.
	This is SR 693 at SR 656 near Hiwassee. Pulaski County is a haven for these vintage shields.   Taken 1/21/09.
	This SR 693 marker is at SR 669 in Pulaski County.   Taken 9/3/10.
	This is on SR 626 (old VA 105) in Critz. Patrick County has a number of these type SR shields left.   Taken 10/26/06.
	This is just of US 21-221 just outside Independence. Such a huge sign pole for a teeny shield!   Taken 4/13/07.
	This is probably the oldest SR shield left standing in Virginia. The numbers (which should be a 701 pointing left) were not visible. This is at the former end of VA 124 in West Point which became SR 701 in the 40's.   Taken 3/22/14.

	This is VA 16's original North Carolina border crossing. A very rare example of this generation of SR shield remaining in Virginia.   Taken 5/18/07.
	This flipped SR 882 (old US 58-221) marker is just outside Galax   Taken 1/21/09.
	This peelng sign is just north of the Rappahannock River bridge on US 301 NB.   Taken 6/5/10.
	This is in Union Hall (Franklin County) and is an old alignment of VA 40.   Taken 7/15/06.
	A faded T-square on VA 311 New Castle.   Taken 1/26/07.
	This is one block south of US 23 Business in Appalachia, just west of VA 78.   Taken 5/24/08.
	This is on VA 178 Belle Haven. Another kind of rare version of SR shield.   Taken 4/26/07.
	This is on US 17 northbound in Bealeton. This sign was replaced in late 2007.   Taken 11/10/06.
	These ancient SR markers were on SR 726 south of Orkney Springs. The numbers are no longer visible as they were painted over with "no tresspassing" messages.   Taken summer 2009.
