NC 695: was born in 1932 running from US 19-23/NC 69 (now SR 2207) Stocksville northeast through Barnardsville and Pensacola to US 19E/NC 69 Burnsville.
In 1940 or 1941, NC 695 was renumbered as part of NC 197, which retains some of NC 695's old unpaved charm. NC 695 did extend west of today's I-26/US 19-23 freeway a little to the old US 19-23.
