Formerly:
NC 11-A #1: Born in 1940 as a renumbering of a tiny piece of US 117. Ran as a cutoff 0.18 miles between NC 24 (now NC 24 Bus/NC 50) and NC 11 in Kenansville.
It appears NC 11-A was downgraded to SR 1383 in 1959 or 1960.
NC 11-A was shown but not labeled on NC Officials from 1940-58.

NC 11-A #2 was born between 1945-49 as a renumbering of NC 11-55. It ran on Queen St and Vernon Ave in central Kinston.
In 1960, NC 11-A was renumbered as NC 11 Business. Today, Queen St is part of US 70-258 Bus/NC 58 while Vernon Ave is secondary east of Queen.
