SC 784: Appeared in 1942 as new primary routing. Ran from SC 204 (now S-18-18) Reevesville in a southerly loop back to US 78 St. George.
By 1945, SC 784 may have been extended in St George west a couple blocks with US 78 then as new primary routing in a paperclip loop back around to US 15 just north of St. George.
In 1947, SC 784 was downgraded to S-18-26 (the Cross Creek/Whetsell Rd portion is now part of S-18-16). The potential paperclip extension became S-18-48 (the western side of the paperclip is now S-18-86 and S-18-54).
