SC 716: Appeared in 1942 as a new primary route running from US 17-701 Maryville past Belle Isle Gardens to end at the ferry to Cat Island.
In 1947, SC 716 was downgraded to S-22-18. Note that in the Belle Isle Garden area SC 716 used S-22-985 George Washington Trail and S-22-295.
