SC 574: Appeared in 1942 as new primary routing in two pieces.
1.SC 9 Clio south through Dunbar to end at the Dillon County line just short of SC 34. SC 574 was never extended the short distance to SC 34.
2.SC 57 Floydale west through Latta to end at today's S-17-38/151 junction.
In 1947, Piece 1 SC 574 was downgraded to S-35-32. About the middle third of SC 574 is no longer a public road. SC 574 used unpaved Asbury Rd through Dunbar and the lower third is now part of S-35-49.
Piece 2 was downgraded to S-17-36 west of Latta and S-17-33 east of Latta. Through Latta remained SC 38 and SC 573 (now SC 917). Today SC 574 east of Latta is S-17-37 Cemetary Rd; S-17-51 Academy St; S-17-33 Oaky Pt Rd; S-17-23 and S-17-71 Judge Rd; S-17-45 Friendship Rd
