SC 526: Appeared in 1939 as new primary routing running from US 521 near Camden southeast to the Sumter line.
In 1940, SC 526 was extended south as new primary routing to SC 44 (now S-43-20) Pisgah Crossroads.
About 1945, SC 526 was extended south to US 521 (now S-43-1342) Dalzell.
In 1947, SC 526 was downgraded to S-28-12, S-43-26, S-31-38, and S-43-43 (both Sumter segments south of S-43-20)
