SC 406 ALT: Appeared in between 1942-46 as new primary routing, running from SC 406 (now S-20-33/49 jct) west to what is now Shelton Depot.
In 1947, SC 406 ALT was downgraded to an unknown secondary route but is now part of S-20-33.
The 1946 Fairfield County map shows it as SC 406 Spur, which as far as I can tell is the only Spur designation shown on 1940s maps, so I am treating it as an ALT route for now.
