SC 289: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing, running from US 76/SC 28 (now SC 28 Bus) north of Pendleton west around to loop to Clemson College.
In 1947, SC 289 was downgraded to S-37-22 (now S-39-22 as the county line moved) without ever connecting back up to what is now SC 93. SC 289 used Goldman Rd on its eastern end.
