SC 271: Appeared in 1942 as new primary routing, running from SC 183 above Walhalla north to SC 288 (now SC 130) Salem.
Between 1943-46, SC 271 was extended with SC 183 to Walhalla, then west with SC 28, then southwest as new primary routing to end at US 76/SC 183 just west of Westminster.
In 1947, SC 271 south was truncated back to SC 183 above Walhalla, leaving behind SC 183, SC 28, and S-37-36 In 1971, SC 271 was replaced by SC 11 and SC 11 Bus (now S-37-24). There are a number of places where SC 11 was on new alignment. Surviving pieces of SC 271 that are not SC 11: Christophers Rd from SC 183; Oconee Station Rd/Fretwell Rd loop at Pickett Post; Flat Shoals Rd/Cowan Rd/S-37-32 in the Tamassee area.
