Between 1987-2005, SC 200 was rerouted to use Market St north to Barr west back to Main St in central Lancaster. East of Lynwood Dr was new construction while Market St was S-26-32 (had been SC 9 ALT in the 1940s). The old route became S-26-6, S-26-19 Lynnwood Dr, and S-26-2 Main St.

Improvements: SC 200 was fully paved upon inception
SC 200 was multilaned on its US 521 duplex through Lancaster between 1957-63.
Comment: SC 200 is a pretty long route that really doesn't serve a major traffic movement.
