 Creation: SC 182 appeared by 1926 as new primary routing, running from SC 18 (now SC 24) Oakway south to Fair Play then southwest to Georgia. This is the only SC 182.
Adjustments: In 1942, SC 182 south was truncated to Fair Play, replaced by SC 59. Today the portion south of I-85 is S-37-11 or under Lake Hartwell.
In 1936 or 1937, SC 183 was rerouted above Pickens to instead end at US 276 south of Caesars Head. The old route to Marietta was secondary for a little while before becoming SC 186.

Improvements: SC 182 was paved in 1942; no multilane segments
Comment: SC 182 is very non-direct in its path between SC 59 and SC 24. SC 182 comes within a whisker of touching SC 11, but they do not technically intersect.
