Creation: SC 154 appeared in 1939 as new primary routing running from US 76 ALT (now S-43-1) Mayesville north to US 15 Bishopville. This is the only SC 154.
Adjustments: In 1945, SC 154 was extended south with US 76 ALT, then as new primary routing to end at SC 54 (now US 378) well east of Sumter.
In 1947, SC 154 south was truncated to US 76 Mayesville, leaving behind S-43-41.
Improvements: SC 154 was paved about 1948; no multilane segments
Comment: SC 154 essentially connects Mayesville to Bishopville.
SC 154 is blown off by I-20 about halfway between the US 15 and SC 341 exits.
