N.C. 602  dead

NC 602: was born in 1929. It initially ran from NC 60 (current US 421) Malpass Corner southwest to Currie and ending at the South River beyond Moores Creek Battlefield.
Between 1948-50, NC 602 was downgraded to secondary status. In 1952 or 1953, NC 210 was routed through this area and some of old 602 became part of today's NC 210 (Battleground Rd to Bell Williams Rd). The rest of old 602 today is Battleground Rd and Malpass Corner Rd.
