N.C. 515  dead
Formerly:

NC 515: was in place as new routing in 1923, running from its parent NC 51 Mt. Gilead northwest 3 miles to NC 74. (Today NC 51 is NC 109 and NC 74 is SR 1174 Pee Dee Rd. (Old NC 27).
In 1928, NC 515 was extended south as new routing to US 74/NC 20 in Wadesboro.
In 1930, NC 515 was extended southwest to the South Carolina State Line. In 1930 SC did not have a primary route to meet it at that time.
In 1934, NC 515 was renumbered to NC 109, except the original 3 mile piece, which became part of NC 73. These numbers are still this way today except there is an "Old NC 515" along NC 109 below Wadesboro and NC 515 veered west at Little Quarters over Long Pine Church Rd to Long Pine, then south on "Old NC 109" to meet today's S-13-56.
