NC 287: Appeared about 1923 as a renumbering of part of original NC 109. Ran from NC 28 (now Chatuge Dam Rd) near Hayesville and headed southeast on today's Myers Chapel Rd to the Georgia State Line heading for Hiawassee, GA.
NC 287 was renumbered as NC 69 in 1941. Myers Chapel Rd no longer makes it to Georgia, with Lake Chatuge in the way.
