#1 Northern Terminus

This is the US 29 SB and 29-A SB split in northern Concord. This is also where US 601 Business north began from 1965-97. This view from around 1950 might not have been too far off what 601 Business looked like in 1965. Today, only the white houses to the far left of the photo and the building straight ahead way down and slightly left are still standing from this terrific photo of some cateye US route shields.
